The agreement between you and Couple Nest when you use our website and apps.
The short versionRead and share our work freely for personal use. Don't republish or scrape it. Our content is thoughtful but it isn't therapy, medical, or legal advice. Be kind, and we'll do the same.
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of couplenest.net and any Couple Nest mobile applications and related services (the "Services"), operated by Couple Nest ("we", "us"). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Our content is not professional advice
Couple Nest publishes editorial content about relationships, grounded in published research and written with care. It is general information, not therapy, counseling, medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for working with a qualified professional who knows your situation. If you are in crisis or in an unsafe relationship, please contact a qualified professional or an emergency service. Your use of any idea, question, or suggestion from the Services is at your own judgment.
3. Using our content
Everything on the Services, including text, illustrations, and design, belongs to us or our licensors. You are welcome to read, link to, and share our pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not republish, scrape, bulk-download, train machine learning systems on, or commercially exploit our content without written permission. Quoted classics and cited research remain the property of their respective owners.
4. Your account and your content (apps)
When our apps are available: you must provide accurate information to create an account and keep your credentials safe. Content you create in the app belongs to you. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the Services, such as storing and transmitting your content to your connected partner. We do not use private content you share with a partner for advertising.
5. Purchases and subscriptions (apps)
App subscriptions, when offered, are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their payment terms, including auto-renewal and cancellation rules. Prices and features will be shown before you buy. Refunds for app store purchases are handled by the relevant store. If you download our apps from an app store, that store's terms also apply to your use of the app; Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no obligations under them.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Services: no unlawful use, no attempting to break, overload, or probe our systems, no harassment of others through any feature that allows interaction, and no impersonating Couple Nest.
7. Termination
You can stop using the Services anytime, and (for apps) delete your account as described in our privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms, with notice where reasonable.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the Services evolve. If a change is significant we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts, except where the consumer law of your country of residence gives you additional protections, in which case those protections still apply.
